My name is Paula Sponhouse. I am a teacher at Hiseville Elementary in Barren County. I am working on my fifth year of teaching at HES – “Where Only the BEST is Good Enough!” I currently teach 1st grade math, 5th grade language arts and science, and reading intervention to primary students in grades 1-3. Teaching is my passion and I am thankful to work with such amazing children each and every day! Hiseville Elementary is also home to an amazing group of educators that I am privileged to work collectively with to ensure that our students are successful.
Besides being a teacher, I am also a graduate student at Western Kentucky University. I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Library Media Science. Although I love teaching, I would also like to be a library media speciliast for an elementary school one day!
God has blessed me with a beautiful family. They are my everything! My husband, Rodney, and I have been married for four years. We have three beautiful children. My step-daughter, Rory, is 5-years-old. My son, Brody, is 23-months-old, and my daughter, Bree, is 7-months-old. Our children are our greatest gifts! My husband and I love to hear their laughter and the pitter-patter of their feet running across the hardwood floor. It can often get chaotic in our home, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
